Commander: Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul deck is built around Etali, Primal Conquerer as a colossal value engine that exiles and casts opponents' spells for free. The primary game plan involves ramping aggressively into an early Etali, granting it haste via Rhythm of the Wild or Lightning Greaves, then creating multiple copy tokens through spells like Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, and Flameshadow Conjuring to stack multiple ETB triggers. Each trigger exiles up to four cards (one per opponent), allowing the deck to chain free spells, generate explosive mana with Alena, Kessig Trapper or Mana Geyser, and eventually overwhelm the table. A backup combo line using Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame or Heat Shimmer produces infinite hasty creature tokens, providing an alternate path that does not require the commander. The deck leans heavily on speed and unpredictability, using opponents' own bombs against them.
