Deck overview

This Golgari Elf tribal deck leverages Lathril, Blade of the Elves to execute a classic aggressive swarm and life-drain strategy. The game plan relies on rapid early mana acceleration using 1-mana dorks to deploy Lathril by Turn 3. Connecting in combat generates an army of 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens, which fuel explosive mana producers like Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid. The deck reaches a critical state on Turn 5 by expanding to ten or more Elves, enabling Lathril's activated ability to drain 10 life from each opponent simultaneously. It converts this advantage into a Turn 6 victory through massive combat pumps from Ezuri, Renegade Leader or Coat of Arms, direct burn from Shaman of the Pack, or the infinite mana loop of Staff of Domination. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers, the list features strong recursion via Bloodline Bidding and asymmetric sweepers to maintain board supremacy.
