Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula leads a Grixis spellslinger deck that turns the attack step into a storm step. The plan is to cast Azula, swing, bank the two red mana from Firebending, then chain cheap instants and sorceries while her trigger copies each spell. Wizard payoffs like Vivi Ornitier, Black Waltz No. 3, Shantotto, and Storm-Kiln Artist convert casts into mana, cards, and repeatable damage. The deck finishes by copying a large X spell under Fiery Emancipation, either Jaya's Immolating Inferno or Exsanguinate. A secondary, less consistent path uses Dualcaster Mage plus Saw in Half to make a huge token board, ideally with haste from Anger in the graveyard.
