Reworked Ashling by ChokeJayOh

Format: Commander

Commander: Ashling, the Limitless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ashling, the Limitless leads a five-color Elemental value deck that turns every Elemental spell into a potential evoke-cost sacrifice, triggering Ashling's copy ability and the death payoffs of Omnath, Locus of Rage. The primary plan is to ramp into large Elementals, generate token copies and card advantage through Risen Reef, Elemental Bond, and Garruk's Uprising, then close with overwhelming combat damage from hasty token armies and effects like Champion of the Path. Secondary paths include Maelstrom Wanderer's double cascade, Defense of the Heart tutoring two threats, and recursion engines such as Muldrotha, Horde of Notions, and Haunting Voyage. The hidden commander is Horde of Notions, which provides repeatable Elemental recursion and a five-color identity anchor. The deck is built to use Ashling's front face as a sacrifice-and-copy engine rather than as a combat threat.
