Deck overview

This mono-red deck turns artifact accumulation into direct damage and overwhelming combat pressure. Commanded by Smaug the Magnificent, the deck accelerates early using cheap mana rocks, cost reducers, and backgrounds like Guild Artisan to deploy Smaug ahead of curve. Smaug's innate haste and flying allow him to attack immediately, triggering scaling burn based on your Treasure count. The rest of the 99 multiplies this strategy: token enhancers like Xorn and Academy Manufactor stockpile resources rapidly, while damage doublers such as Twinflame Tyrant and Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor escalate incoming damage. Rather than relying on infinite loops, the deck closes games through stacked combat phases from Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Relentless Assault, supported by passive burn triggers from Ingenious Artillerist and Reckless Fireweaver that incinerate life totals whenever Treasures enter the battlefield.
