Deck overview

This Azorius deck pairs Leonardo, the Balance and Donatello, the Brains to execute an aggressive token-swarm strategy boosted by +1/+1 counters. Donatello enhances every token-creation event by providing an additional Mutagen artifact token, which immediately satisfies Leonardo's condition to place +1/+1 counters across your entire creature lineup once each turn. The deck supports this core engine with efficient early token creators like Resolute Reinforcements and Knight Luminary, alongside repeatable blink effects like Ephemerate and Displacer Kitten. Card velocity is sustained through steady engines such as Enduring Innocence, Esper Sentinel, and Rhystic Study. As the board expands, high-impact finishers like Silverwing Squadron, Elspeth, Storm Slayer, and Bond of Discipline convert wide boards into decisive combat damage. While vulnerable to mass exile effects, the deck maintains solid recovery through redundant token engines and defensive instant-speed protection.
