Deck overview

This deck is an enchantress midrange deck led by Daxos the Returned, built around accumulating experience counters to create an overwhelming army of scalable Spirit tokens. By casting low-cost enchantments like Seal of Cleansing, Aura of Silence, and Phyrexian Arena, the deck steadily builds experience counters while answering threats. Because experience counters are placed on the player rather than the commander, the deck retains its scaling power even after board wipes. In the midgame, Daxos converts excess mana into large Spirit creature tokens at instant speed, supported by powerful enchantment payoffs such as Sigil of the Empty Throne, Doomwake Giant, and Dictate of Heliod. The deck features resilient late-game recursion through Open the Vaults and Crystal Chimes. However, its reliance on combat damage over multiple response cycles, a high count of tapped lands, and the absence of nonland tutors mean it operates at a deliberate, fair pace vulnerable to fast combos and mass exile sweepers.
