Poison by rslawson

Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Serpent Society leads a Golgari deathtouch tribal deck that wins through poison counters. The primary plan uses a dense army of small deathtouch creatures to connect with opponents, accelerating the poison clock via infect enablers like Fynn, the Fangbearer and Triumph of the Hordes, while proliferate effects (Evolution Sage, Contagion Engine, Smell Fear) finish the job. The commander provides a powerful edict effect whenever another deathtouch creature dies and a ward tax that slows down removal. The deck's back half includes light recursion from Cauldron of Essence and a sac-for-value engine in Grave Pact to clear blockers. The deck is slow but inevitability-driven: once a single creature with deathtouch connects, Fynn, the Fangbearer doubles the poison output, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror turns incidental life loss into a persistent clock.
