Deck overview

This Dimir deck is commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver and operates as a dedicated Zombie tribal aristocrats engine. The deck focuses on generating disposable Zombie tokens, sacrificing them for card draw and mana velocity, and whittling down opponents with drain triggers. Early turns establish mana rocks, utility Zombies like Carrion Feeder, and token generators such as Dreadhorde Invasion or Poppet Stitcher. Once Wilhelt enters play on Turn 4, the engine draws extra cards every turn while replenishing sacrificed fodder with decayed Zombie tokens. The deck transitions into a lethal win attempt around Turn 6 by assembling explosive combo loops, most notably Rooftop Storm with Gravecrawler and a sacrifice outlet, or a transformed Poppet Factory with Wilhelt. These loops produce infinite death triggers to drain the entire table with Blood Artist and Diregraf Captain or mill opponents out with Altar of Dementia. It offers strong recursion and resilience against removal but carries limited stack protection.
