Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Red Dragon tribal stompy strategy led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana ramp and cost reducers such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to accelerate into high-cost flying Dragons. Once Lathliss, Dragon Queen enters the battlefield, every subsequent nontoken Dragon cast creates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly generating an overwhelming aerial army. Payoffs like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas convert creature deployment into direct damage, while Terror of Mount Velus and Utvara Hellkite drastically amplify combat damage. The deck relies on damage-based sweepers such as Blasphemous Act and Chain Reaction to keep opposing boards clear while maintaining large flying bodies. Because the strategy depends heavily on expensive nonland permanents and lacks stack interaction, it is vulnerable to mass board wipes and targeted removal, requiring careful resource pacing to close games.
