Deck overview

This Azorius deck focuses on a flying typal strategy led by Kastral, the Windcrested. It curves out early with low-cost evasive Birds to establish board presence before deploying its commander on Turn 4. Once assembled, combat damage triggers provide steady card advantage, creature recursion, and team-wide counters. The deck scales into the midgame with powerful anthem effects, token producers, and asymmetric combat tools. It protects its creature investment using an elite suite of free and efficient protection spells like Flawless Maneuver and Flare of Fortitude. Rather than utilizing infinite combos or heavy stax locks, the deck secures victory by overwhelming opponents in the air, using cards like Akroma's Will and Raise the Palisade to bypass blockers and deliver lethal damage by Turn 8.
