Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group-slug and impulse-card-advantage engine commanded by Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. The strategy revolves around deploying low-cost permanents that reliably trigger exact 1-life loss events on opponents, such as Impact Tremors, Mirkwood Bats, and Oni-Cult Anvil. Each trigger places a +1/+1 counter on Ob Nixilis and exiles the top card of the library to play until your next end step, generating substantial card flow and turning the commander into a lethal flying, trample threat. Backed by Treasure ramp from Prosper, Tome-Bound and Grim Hireling, the deck transitions into the late game by casting huge asymmetric spells like Torment of Hailfire and Reckless Endeavor. While it lacks stack protection and unconditional tutors, it maintains consistent redundancy in its ping triggers and independent backup engines through exile-matters value.
