Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around a Polymorph core supported by River Song's unique bottom-draw dynamic. By manipulating the library using scry effects, cantrips, and tuck tools like Proteus Staff, the deck navigates around drawing cards from the bottom while setting up the top of the library for cheat effects. It produces token fodder through cards like Young Pyromancer, Third Path Iconoclast, and Kher Keep, turning 0/1s and 1/1s into massive win conditions such as Blightsteel Colossus, Hullbreaker Horror, Ovika, and Consecrated Sphinx via Polymorph and Transmogrify. In addition to combat damage from cheated beaters, the deck contains the hard lock of Teferi's Puzzle Box with Narset, Parter of Veils, and the lethal infinite burn combo of Niv-Mizzet, Parun enchanted with Curiosity.
