Kaalia of the trash by silvereric21

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Mardu battle-cruiser deck built around Kaalia of the Vast's attack trigger, cheating Angels, Demons, and Dragons into play tapped and attacking. The primary plan is to land Kaalia, connect with her, and snowball through the deck's extra-combat package: Aurelia, the Warleader, Scourge of the Throne, Bloodthirster, and Full Throttle can turn one attack into a chain of combats in a single turn. Isshin, Two Heavens as One is the hidden force-multiplier, doubling both Kaalia's cheat trigger and the extra-combat triggers, while Maskwood Nexus makes every creature in the deck a legal cheat target. The deck wins through evasive combat damage rather than combo, with incidental reach from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. Hardcasting big flyers, generating Treasures, and Guardian Scalelord-style recursion form the plan B when Kaalia is taxed off the battlefield.
