Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Black Liliana thematic exhibition list that blends planeswalker attrition, hand disruption, and mass graveyard reanimation. Led by Liliana, Heretical Healer, the deck aims to develop its mana base smoothly through basic Swamps while deploying a high density of Liliana planeswalkers to control the battlefield. Symmetrical discard effects and edict spells gradually deplete opponents' hands and creatures while filling all graveyards with potential threats. Once sufficient mana is assembled, the deck pivots into its endgame by casting decisive mass reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms or Command the Dreadhorde. This floods the board with all milled and destroyed creatures, setting up a lethal untap swing on Turn 9. While the deck possesses remarkable redundancy across its planeswalker suite, its deliberate adherence to Liliana lore limits early mana acceleration, stack protection, and answers to noncreature permanents.
