V2 - 14th Doctor / K9 - Food Chain by user7141539

Format: Commander

Commander: The Fourteenth Doctor and K-9, Mark I

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a four-color (WURG) high-power deck that wears a Doctor-themed shell over a compact combo core. The headline commander plan is casting The Fourteenth Doctor with a Doctor card on top of the library-usually The Eighth Doctor via Worldly Tutor-so the Doctor enters as a copy of The Eighth Doctor and becomes a repeatable graveyard-casting engine, with K-9, Mark I providing ward and unblockable support for legendary creatures. The real finish, though, is the versatile 99: Underworld Breach plus Lion's Eye Diamond and Brain Freeze mills the table; Hullbreaker Horror plus cheap mana-positive artifacts generates infinite mana and bounce loops; Food Chain plus Squee, the Immortal is an infinite creature-cast engine. The deck is loaded with fast mana, free countermagic, and high-quality tutors, letting it pivot between a turn-4/5 combo kill and a more grindy Doctor-value game.
