Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger control strategy commanded by The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell. The primary plan deploys the commander on Turn 2 to accelerate mana into high-impact noncreature spells costing 4 or more mana. Casting three of these spells places three +1/+1 counters on the Emperor, transforming him into The Lord Master of Hell. Once transformed, his Starfall attack ability deals direct damage to each opponent equal to the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard. Backed by 17 counterspells and flexible instant-speed burn removal, the deck controls opposing threats while filling its graveyard. It closes games by attacking with The Lord Master of Hell alongside finishers like Crackle with Power or token swarms from Ovika, Enigma Goliath. While resilient on the stack and consistent in ramp, the deck relies heavily on keeping its commander alive through combat steps to close out opponents.
