Deck overview

This Simic deck commands the ocean depths through Kiora, Sovereign of the Deep, transforming massive Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents into explosive two-for-one value engines. The strategy accelerates mana in turns 1 to 3 using green ramp spells, mana creatures, and artifacts to deploy Kiora on Turn 4. Once Kiora is active on Turn 5, every sea monster cast from hand triggers her pseudo-cascade ability, digging through the library to cast a second high-impact spell for free. This rapid board development is supported by asymmetric sweepers like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets, which clear opposing creature boards while leaving your oceanic monsters untouched. Standalone behemoths such as Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Hullbreaker Horror, and Spawning Kraken apply crushing combat pressure, while evasion enablers like Serpent of Yawning Depths close out the table by Turn 7. Although vulnerable to fast noncreature combo decks, it generates overwhelming board presence and resilient card flow.
