Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Megatron, Tyrant // Megatron, Destructive Force as both a removal engine and a massive mana generator. By casting Megatron converted on Turn 3, the deck attacks on Turn 4, sacrificing an artifact to eliminate an opposing creature and deal excess damage to its controller. This converts Megatron, unlocking an influx of colorless mana in the postcombat main phase equal to all life lost by opponents that turn. The deck channels this mana into catastrophic threats like Portal to Phyrexia, Cityscape Leveler, and Krang, Utrom Warlord. Redundant cheat and reanimation cards such as Sneak Attack, Goblin Welder, Daretti, Scrap Savant, and Trash for Treasure ensure the deck functions smoothly even without its commander. Opponents face severe attrition from one-sided board wipes and asymmetric edicts while a resilient army of high-power artifact creatures closes the game in rapid fashion.
