Deck overview

Animar, Soul of Elements leads a Temur Tyranid counter deck that uses Animar's cost reduction to cast Ravenous X creatures for cheap and grow them with +1/+1 counters. The primary plan builds a wide board of Tyranids that enter with counters, draws cards off Ravenous and counter synergies, and amplifies them with Hardened Scales, Doubling Season, and The Great Henge. Secondary paths copy X spells with Magus Lucea Kane, cascade with Apex Devastator, and push damage with Port Razer extra combats, flying and haste from Winged Hive Tyrant, and Crackle with Power. Animar is the discount engine; Magus Lucea Kane and The Great Henge act as hidden engines when Animar is absent.
