Deck overview

Tayam, Luminous Enigma leads an Abzan aristocrats counters deck that grinds value and wins through infinite death loops. Tayam mills and recurs any permanent with mana value 3 or less by removing three counters, turning vigilance counters and +1/+1 counters into fuel. The primary plan loops undying creatures (Young Wolf, Strangleroot Geist) with sac outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Viscera Seer) and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician to generate infinite deaths, drained by Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance and Poison-Tip Archer. Secondary paths use Tayam value, Living Death, and flying counters with Abzan Falconer. Mikaeus acts as hidden commander for undying combos.
