Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Izzet Spellslinger and Storm combo deck led by Mizzix of the Izmagnus. The core game plan accelerates into Mizzix on Turn 3 using low-cost mana rocks and rituals, then chains low-mana instants and sorceries to build experience counters quickly. Once Mizzix accumulates four experience counters, generic costs on instants and sorceries drop by four mana. This enables an infinite mana loop by casting Reiterate with buyback targeting Desperate Ritual or Pyretic Ritual. The resulting infinite mana powers an unbounded stream of copied Lightning Bolt spells or lethal storm mill with Brain Freeze to eliminate all three opponents in a single turn. The deck defends its setup using premier free interaction such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, and features Underworld Breach as a potent backup combo engine from the graveyard.
