Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet spellslinger and storm combo list commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan revolves around casting Vivi on Turn 3 and attaching a damage-triggered draw engine such as Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on Turn 4. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell, each cheap cantrip draws three cards and places a +1/+1 counter on Vivi. Vivi's activated ability then converts that power directly into a burst of blue and red mana, sustaining a self-funding storm turn. The deck finishes games either by burning out all opponents through cumulative pings from Vivi, Guttersnipe, and Fiery Inscription, or by assembling the infinite Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame combo. Efficient counterspells, phasing protection, and bounce spells keep the engine defended while digging rapidly through the library.
