Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and stax list built around Maha, Its Feathers Night. Maha sets the base toughness of all opposing creatures to one. By combining this static ability with continuous -1/-1 effects like Night of Souls' Betrayal and Kaervek, the Spiteful, or mass-damage spells like Massacre Wurm and The Meathook Massacre, the deck creates an asymmetric hard lock that eliminates opposing creatures as state-based actions. Opponents cannot maintain any creature presence without static toughness anthems. While the table is locked down, the deck converts dead creatures into life loss through aristocrat payoffs like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Vein Ripper, and Blood Artist, or reanimates their boards with Gisa, Glorious Resurrector. A compact two-card infinite combo between Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood provides an alternate instant win. The deck excels at dominating creature-heavy pods, though it remains vulnerable to non-creature combo decks and artifact-based strategies.
