Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The deck establishes an early battlefield with synergistic low-cost Zombies and recursive creatures like Gravecrawler. Once Ghoulcaller Gisa enters on Turn 5, she sacrifices high-power creatures to double their power into a horde of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Anthem lords such as Death Baron, Cemetery Reaper, and Undead Warchief turn these tokens into lethal combat threats, while aristocrat payoffs including Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opponent life totals directly. The deck achieves consistent mana and high card flow through graveyard synergies and death triggers, but it operates at fair battlecruiser timing without fast combo finishes. Its primary vulnerabilities are a lack of stack interaction, absent defensive shielding for the commander, and reliance on wide creature boards that are susceptible to opposing sweepers.
