Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Dragon Tribal strategy led by Rivaz of the Claw. The deck combines heavy tribal ramp, rummaging spells, and recursive graveyard synergies to deploy massive, evasive flying threats ahead of curve. In the early game, the deck uses mana rocks, cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman, and discard spells like Faithless Looting to place high-impact Dragons into the graveyard. Once Rivaz enters the battlefield, it acts as both a 2-mana accelerator and a continuous reanimation outlet, allowing you to cast one Dragon per turn directly from the graveyard. As the midgame progresses, payoffs such as Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames generate overwhelming board presence and direct damage. Mass reanimation spells like Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding serve as explosive mid-to-late game finishers that can instantly overwhelm opposing life totals.
