Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu combo engine that leverages Celes, Rune Knight to neutralize persist penalties and generate infinite sacrifice loops. By deploying early ramp and graveyard tutors such as Buried Alive and Entomb, the deck prepares the graveyard and battlefield for a rapid finish. Casting Celes on turn 4 filters the hand and enables +1/+1 counters whenever a creature enters from the graveyard. Pairing Celes with a persist creature like Murderous Redcap or Putrid Goblin and a free sacrifice outlet like Goblin Bombardment or Blasting Station creates an unbounded damage loop that eliminates all opponents on turn 5. The deck protects its combo turn with silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Deflecting Swat, while maintaining a fully independent backup plan through Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista.
