Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos combo deck pilots Smaug the Impenetrable as a hybrid mana engine and finisher. The core plan is to accelerate into the commander using rituals, then trigger his indestructible self-damage ability to create a massive burst of Treasure tokens, which are immediately sacrificed to fuel an X-spell kill (Exsanguinate, Crackle with Power) or storm line (Grapeshot). Alternative win channels run entirely in the 99: Underworld Breach + Grinding Station loops, infinite red mana via Reiterate + Seething Song, and flashback-enabled storm turns. The deck is blisteringly fast, leverages seven realizable combos, and backs its plan with a dense tutor suite and robust ritual package.
