Commander: Jhoira of the Ghitu

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic "time bomb" deck built around Jhoira of the Ghitu. The plan is to spend the first few turns setting up mana and then use Jhoira's activated ability to put enormous, game-breaking cards into suspend with a four-turn clock. A dense package of time-counter manipulation-Clockspinning, Jhoira's Timebug, Rift Elemental, Timecrafting, Timebender, Shivan Sand-Mage, Fury Charm, and Rotating Fireplace-then accelerates those bombs into free, hasty threats. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat from cards like Deep-Sea Kraken, Tidespout Tyrant, Star Whale, and Artisan of Kozilek, sometimes supplemented by a big Mind's Desire or a swing from Time Bomb/The Moment. It is a slow, telegraphed deck with serious raw power if left alone, but it relies almost entirely on Jhoira to make the countdown viable.
