izzet spellslinger (niv-mizzet, parun) by seBsta

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Parun

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An Izzet spellslinger combo deck built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun. The primary plan is to reach six mana, cast Parun, then put Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on him so every draw becomes a 1-damage loop. Niv-Mizzet, Visionary acts as a hidden backup commander: once both dragons are on the battlefield, the first Parun ping draws a card through Visionary and immediately loops. A token-and-pinger package provides an attrition fallback. The deck is interaction-dense and draws a lot, but it has no protection or recursion for Parun, so a single removal spell can cost two turns.
