Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar Esper is a turbo-Thoracle deck with a token-value backup. The primary plan is to win with Thassa's Oracle plus Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, using efficient fast mana and premium tutors to assemble it around turn four and hold up free interaction. The commander's role is to turn token creation into cards; the {6} activation is also the outlet for Basalt Monolith/Grim Monolith + Forensic Gadgeteer infinite mana. Secondary drain paths run through Kambal and Ocelot Pride. There is no hidden commander; Mister Fantastic and Tataru Taru provide redundant token-draw effects.
