Deck overview

This Simic deck leverages Hakbal of the Surging Soul to drive an aggressive tribal engine powered by the explore mechanic. The strategy curves out with low-cost Merfolk on turns 1 through 3 before casting Hakbal on turn 4. Hakbal immediately triggers explore for every Merfolk on the board at the beginning of combat, rapidly generating card advantage by putting revealed lands into hand while buffing the team with +1/+1 counters on nonland reveals.
