Deck overview

Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar leads an Orzhov midrange deck focused on aerial combat, lifegain synergies, and attrition. Syr Vondam enters early as a low-cost threat that punishes opponent removal and scales as friendly creatures leave the battlefield. The deck controls the board with pinpoint removal like Depressurize and mass answers like Ravnica at War and Nightmare Unmaking. The primary win condition is closing games through aerial combat damage with heavy flyers such as Baneslayer Angel, Sephara, Sky's Blade, and Empyrial Storm tokens. Secondary lines leverage double strike from Battle Mastery and steady drain from Retreat to Hagra to grind out remaining opponents.
