Hazel of the Rootbloom by user4966526

Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Hazel of the Rootbloom leads a BG Squirrel-token aristocrats deck that plans to bury opponents under an exponential Squirrel army and convert that army into both mana and death triggers. The primary loop is Chatterfang, Squirrel General plus a Treasure-producing sacrifice engine (Warren Soultrader, Pitiless Plunderer, or Ashnod's Altar) and a drain payoff such as Blood Artist. Hazel and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest let tokens pay for further token generation, while Parallel Lives and Doubling Season multiply the swarm. Chatterfang, Squirrel General functions as an effective hidden commander. The commander accelerates the deck but is not required for any registered win line; removal of Hazel slows the plan but does not stop it.
