Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Big-Mana Stompy list built around Surrak Dragonclaw. Its game plan focuses on early mana acceleration through low-cost mana dorks, land ramps, and auras on Turns 1 through 3. On Turn 4, it deploys cost reducers or draw engines like Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma, Temur Ascendancy, or the commander itself. By Turn 6, the deck channels 7 to 8 mana into overwhelming top-end threats such as Maelstrom Wanderer, Apex Devastator, and Omnath, Locus of Rage. Surrak Dragonclaw ensures these large creatures bypass countermagic and push through combat damage with trample. The deck can also close games instantly through an entwined Tooth and Nail or the two-card combo of Splinter Twin and Zealous Conscripts. Its primary strength lies in commander independence, robust engine recovery, and overwhelming board pressure, balanced by a vulnerability to fast combo decks due to a lack of instant-speed counterspells.
