The Rise of Phoenix King by NinJoe

Format: Commander

Creator: NinJoe

Commander: Ozai, the Phoenix King

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Ozai, the Phoenix King commands a high-velocity Rakdos storm and mana-battery strategy. The deck uses explosive fast mana, efficient rituals, and top-tier black card advantage engines like Ad Nauseam and Necropotence to assemble critical mass quickly. Ozai acts as a mana bank by preserving unspent firebending and ritual mana as red mana across phases, transforming into an indestructible flying threat once six mana is banked. The deck wins by channeling massive banked red mana into game-ending sinks such as Devil's Play, Inferno of the Star Mounts activations, or infinite combat loops with Hellkite Charger.
