Deck overview

This Abzan deck transforms high-toughness, low-power defenders into lethal offensive threats using Felothar the Steadfast. The primary plan develops efficient mana ramp and wall creatures on early turns before casting Felothar on Turn 4 to unlock defender combat and calculate damage from toughness. On Turn 5, massive creatures like Tree of Redemption and Carven Caryatid apply crushing combat pressure. Felothar also functions as an incredible draw engine: sacrificing a zero-power defender draws cards equal to its toughness with zero discard penalty. The deck controls the board using asymmetric wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Dusk // Dawn, which destroy opponent boards while leaving your low-power creatures untouched. Finishers like Towering Titan, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, and Wingmantle Chaplain provide the necessary trample, evasion, and token width to eliminate all three opponents by Turn 7.
