Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant commands a Sultai midrange deck that blends Elf mana acceleration with Faerie flash interaction and token swarm tactics. The deck establishes early ramp through efficient mana dorks and ramp spells, developing sticky token producers like Bitterblossom and Alela, Cunning Conqueror. Once Maralen enters the battlefield, every entering Elf or Faerie exiles cards from opposing libraries, enabling free spell casts once each turn to pull ahead in tempo and card advantage. The deck controls the board with versatile counterspells, goad effects, and High Perfect Morcant's -1/-1 counter attrition. It closes games by transforming its evasive flyer army into 4/4 Dragons with Shadow Puppeteers or pumping the board with Banner of Kinship. Additionally, the list houses a compact infinite combo between Presence of Gond and Intruder Alarm to generate unlimited tokens and exile opposing libraries. The result is a highly synergistic tribal tempo engine capable of explosive combat finishes.
