Deck overview

Volo, Guide to Monsters is the engine: the deck plays a wide spread of creature types so almost every cast creature can be copied. Ramp and card draw are sequenced through copied ETBs, typically using Fierce Empath to tutor a 7-drop, Owlbear to draw, and Hornet Queen to build a wide flying board. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins by trample-combat with End-Raze Forerunners, Thunderfoot Baloth, or Return of the Wildspeaker. It can pivot to removal via copied Acidic Slime, Man-o'-War, or Beast Within. Keruga is a high-mana draw spell here, not a legal companion, because the deck includes early ramp and mana rocks. There is no double-faced or hidden commander.
