Scions & Spellcraft (upgraded) by Kioshi

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper spellslinger control deck that wins through incremental drain rather than combo. Casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater triggers Y'shtola for 2 damage to each opponent and 2 life gained, and any turn where 4 life is lost draws a card at end step. The deck stacks redundant drain engines that convert spell casts and life gain into damage, controls the board with heavy instant-speed removal and counters, and finishes with large life swings. Y'shtola is the primary engine and card advantage source, while Professor Onyx and Emet-Selch act as hidden engines for drain and graveyard value.
