Deck overview

This is an Abzan +1/+1 counters deck built around the partner pair Reyhan, Last of the Abzan and Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful. The strategy is to flood the battlefield with legendary permanents, stack +1/+1 counters through a dense suite of doubling effects, and win through an overwhelming trample attack. Ouroboroid and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower provide exponential growth, while Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, Hardened Scales, The Earth Crystal, and Kami of Whispered Hopes multiply every counter. Reyhan redistributes counters when creatures die, and Yoshimaru grows with every legendary permanent. The deck draws heavily through Reki, the History of Kamigawa, Captain Sisay, Tribute to the World Tree, and The Great Henge, and recurs key pieces through Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Six, and Kethis, the Hidden Hand. Urza's Ruinous Blast and Damning Verdict clear the board asymmetrically, and the kill comes from a massive, protected combat step.
