Deck overview

This Mardu aggressive deck is built around Kaalia of the Vast, aiming to cheat enormous Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking as early as Turn 4. The deck relies on a dense 38-land mana base supported by 2-CMC mana rocks to ensure Kaalia is cast on Turn 3 or 4, ideally equipped with Lightning Greaves or backed by Mother of Runes for immediate, protected combat triggers. Once attacking, Kaalia cheats overwhelming bombs such as Scourge of the Throne, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Sephara, Sky's Blade into play, rapidly assembling a lethal airborne fleet. The deck incorporates disruptive beaters like Archfiend of Depravity and Angelic Arbiter alongside Stranglehold to hinder opposing board development and searches. While formidable in aerial combat power, the deck is vulnerable to targeted removal aimed at Kaalia before combat, and relies on backup reanimation or Quicksilver Amulet when Kaalia is removed.
