Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Landfall Midrange strategy piloted by Omnath, Locus of Rage. The game plan revolves around rapidly developing mana through high-density land ramp spells, establishing Omnath on Turn 5, and converting subsequent land drops into an army of 5/5 Elemental tokens. The deck's primary win condition is wide combat damage supported by extra combat steps from Moraug, Fury of Akoum, backed up by Omnath's death triggers, which punish opposing sweepers and enable lethal burn bursts via Blasphemous Act. While the deck features outstanding ramp velocity and resilient backup threats like Rampaging Baloths and Scute Swarm, it lacks proactive stax pieces and stack-based countermagic, leaving it vulnerable to fast spell-based combo strategies and non-damage sweepers like Farewell.
