Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari token swarm and spellslinger strategy commanded by Witherbloom, the Balancer. The deck's primary game plan focuses on rapidly assembling a wide board of low-cost creature tokens (Pests, Squirrels, Birds, and Dryads) to drastically discount the commander via affinity. Once Witherbloom, the Balancer is on the battlefield, all instant and sorcery spells gain affinity for creatures, allowing massive late-game bombs like Army of the Damned, Ezuri's Predation, Genesis Wave, and Cabal Conditioning to be cast for just their colored mana pips. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat waves backed by incremental life-drain triggers from Arnyn, Deathbloom Botanist, Melancholic Poet, and Professor Dellian Fel. Additionally, the deck contains an efficient infinite combo between Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Pitiless Plunderer that can wipe opposing boards and generate infinite mana. While weak to early board wipes and lacking stack interaction, its immense token production and graveyard recursion ensure resilient recovery.
