Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive mono-green stompy strategy centered on Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The plan accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana dorks and rapidly deploys undercosted, high-power creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus. This collective board power drastically reduces Ghalta's casting cost, allowing the 12/12 trampling Elder Dinosaur to enter as early as turn 4 for just two green mana. Once Ghalta is on the battlefield, the deck draws massive card advantage through power-matters engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. It closes out the game by overwhelming opponents with trampling combat damage boosted by finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast at developing large threats, the deck relies heavily on combat and permanent presence on the battlefield, making it vulnerable to board sweepers, targeted removal, and dedicated combo decks that operate outside the combat step.
