Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around Ovika, Enigma Goliath, aiming to convert noncreature spells into an overwhelming army of hasty 1/1 Phyrexian Goblin tokens. The strategy relies on developing land drops up to seven mana, deploying Ovika with built-in Ward protection, and untapping to cast strings of instants, sorceries, and artifacts. Each spell triggers Ovika to spawn tokens equal to its mana value, enabling immediate combat pressure alongside burn and utility effects from cards like Impact Tremors, Guttersnipe, and Crash Through. The deck supplements this swarm plan with flexible spot removal, bounce spells like River's Rebuke, and card draw. Because the commander requires seven mana and the ramp package is modest, the deck operates at a measured pace, focusing on surviving early aggression and landing Ovika on an established board to close out the game over multiple combat cycles.
