Deck overview

This is an Orzhov lifegain-and-drain deck helmed by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, built to punish every spell the table casts while converting life gain into opponent life loss. The primary plan is to grind out incremental drain through Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Mai, Scornful Striker, Rug of Smothering, and Painful Quandary, then close the game with a two-card drain loop - most cleanly Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood, with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Marauding Blight-Priest as redundant halves, and Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension as a second, independent mill loop. Liesa herself taxes every spell and offers a cheap recast via her life-payment discount, but she is a value piece rather than the engine - the combos live entirely in the 99.
