YGRA by Comet

Format: Commander

Commander: Ygra, Eater of All

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ygra, Eater of All turns every other creature into a Food, letting this Golgari deck convert sacrificial creatures into mana, life, and enormous counter growth. The deck weaves two synergistic plans: exponential +1/+1 counters with Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Kami of Whispered Hopes, and infinite Food/token loops built around Ashnod's Altar, Experimental Confectioner, Peregrin Took, and Ygra. Tutors grab missing pieces; Food payoffs like Mirkwood Bats or Blood Artist close the game. Ygra also serves as a ward-protected beater that grows whenever a Food dies, making it both enabler and finisher. Secondary wins come from trampling counter armies, Feasting Hobbit, or Chatterfang squirrel swarms.
