Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group-discard control list designed to empty all players' hands and grind opponents down through sustained attrition. Rather than relying on its commander to win, the deck uses Malfegor primarily as an emergency one-sided board wipe and top-end threat. The core strategy deploys early parity-breaking engines such as Waste Not, Bandit's Talent, and Asylum Visitor, followed by symmetrical discard spells like Delirium Skeins and Bottomless Pit. Once opponents enter topdeck mode, cards like Painful Quandary, Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, and Sheoldred // The True Scriptures establish a firm lock, draining life totals over several turns. The deck features extensive graveyard recovery through cards like Chainer, Nightmare Adept and Phyrexian Reclamation, which keeps its engines running even when its own hand is empty. Its main limitations stem from a total lack of ramp artifacts, zero countermagic, and reliance on natural topdecks without tutors.
