THE MISTY MOUNTAIN by chillip

Format: Commander

Commander: Dáin of the Ancient Halls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros Dwarf tribal deck helmed by Dain of the Ancient Halls, built to go wide with Dwarves and convert that board into table-wide damage. The commander's haste means he attacks the turn he lands, and his trigger - dealing damage equal to the number of Dwarves you control to each opponent - turns a wide board into a one-swing finisher. The deck layers token generation (Anointed Procession, Fili the Pathfinder, Warchanter Skald), Treasure engines (Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Smothering Tithe, Thorin, Company's Leader), and an Equipment subtheme that fuels both value and extra combats via Breath of Fury and Helm of the Host. Secondary wins come from Smaug the Magnificent's Treasure-based burn, Torbran, Thane of Red Fell amplifying every red source, and Warleader's Call pinging off each ETB. The deck is a midrange aggro build that accelerates into a critical mass of Dwarves and closes with repeated combat steps.
